Garden thief found!!

Our garden was mysteriously losing the tops of the plants. We were trying to figure out how this was happening, until we noticed our little friend showing up for dinner at 8 every night!

New Haircuts

We were finally able to get Megan to get her hair cut for the first time! It really looked like a rat's nest with morning hair and knots all day. She was scared to death of haircuts for some reason and would throw a fit everytime we tried. While watching Rachel get her hair cut she would ask "is brushing part of hair cuts?" and "is cutting part of hair cuts?" and then finally "I'm going to get my hair cut". It was a little bob with bangs.

Rachel went shorter with hers and was really excited about having it curl out now.

Spring Flowers

Flowers around the house

The garden at the beginning

Candice weeding in the garden

SUMMER 2007
Candice really wanted to have a garden this year. A vegetable garden as well as a flower garden. That meant alot of work for Daddy! Having to clear the garden, plant the seeds, weed the garden, and of course water it all of the time. I am posting some pictures of the flowers we planted (part of the 2007 Year in Review) as well as Candice working in the garden.

June 22 - July 10 2007

Grandpa came to visit us for two weeks. We started with a 2 day drive from Lakeville, MN to Calgary Alberta. Long drive (1250 miles) with about 16 hour days in the car. We drove in our new van with the DVD player which saved us. I am including some pictures of the kids at one of the hotels we stayed at with a water slide. Dinosaur museums and statues seem to be very common in Alberta, as that is where they found alot of the dinosaur bones. The kids had alot of fun at those places. We got to visit Grandpa's house that he grew up in during the 1930's which was great (picture above). From there we went to Calgary and visited with one of Grandpa's cousins (Ches Pierson) and friends from his childhood (Gordon Ogden). We also went to the zoo and the Calgary Tower (pictures above). We had to pull Candice out on the glass that looked straight down (notice she is standing on the beam!). That was a pretty neat view down. On the way home we stopped at the Calgary Temple (above) which was great. After the long trip we relaxed at home for the next 10 days, without going anywhere in the car for a while!

Megan turns 4!

10 Jun 2007

Hard to believe Megan is 4 now (going on 12). Alot of her friends were on vacation during the summer, so we had a small water party in the back yard. Her party was multi themed with all her favorites (Buzz Lightyear, Diego, and Pink Panther). Her hair is finally growing, and we have her convinced that she is a girl half of the time, as she says that she is a boy the other half of the time. When we try to put her in a dress or tell her she looks pretty, she says she is a "cool boy". She had a great time and loved playing with everyone.

Fisher 2006 Year in Review Published!

After 6 months of revisions and touch up the Fisher Family 2006 Year in Review was finally published to rave reviews. Sources close to the family say a follow on volume (2007 Year in Review) has already begun, and there are plans in place for additional years 1999-2005. It finished at over 80 full color pages and covered family shots, family members, events throughout the year, and other interesting tidbits about the family. I am including the cover and some of my favorite pages. Unfortunatly it is too big to email (116mb), but we can put it on CD and mail it out. I had it printed at Kinkos and bound in a hard cover book and it cost about $125!
