Fall Apple Picking

Fall always brings one of our favorite family activities - Apple Picking. We went to the orchard in Lakeville this year. We actually went twice - once for Zestar apples and once for Honey Crisp, and spent about $160 in apples that turned into apple sauce and the best apple pies we've ever had. We got to ride on a tractor with hay bales, and Michael even got stung by a bee (which he wasn't too happy about). The was a big hail storm in July this year so all the apples had big dents in them, which made all the apples look funny.

September Around the House

Some shots from August and September this year that happen around the house. I pasted the captions on the bottom of each picture, and you can see the larger ones by clicking on the album. Summer seemed to go by so quickly that we aren't sure we are ready for the fall yet, but in reality I think summer was longer this year.

Fall is coming

I ran the Downtown Lakeville 5k Dash this last week and ended up running 5 minutes faster than last year which was good for me. This years results are located here - http://www.downtownlakeville.com/dash08.htm - I was 37th in the men.

I also uploaded another album from our vacation this spring to Orlando, Florida.

First day of school

Hard to believe that all 3 are in school now. Megan's first day and week went much better than expected. She loved class, loves drawing and coloring, and making crafts. She got on the school bus right away without any tears (except for ours :( ) and got to take the bus home with her brother and sister. Michael is in 2nd grade and Rachel is in 5th grade (one of the scary ones in the school - 5th graders). I loaded some pictures of all three of them dressed for the 1st day of school, and then Megans 1st day orientation (with Daddy) and then first day (with Mommy).

Catching up a little bit

At least I am on 2007 now. These are some new web albums I loaded up with the "best" pictures of 2007. Best is a relative term, but they are the ones that came out the best, however the real best ones are the ones where you catch them in action doing something natural, but those never seem to turn out great. 2006 Year in Review

Funny, I am actually blogging back in time now it appears, but I've discovered neat new tools on the web, and ways to automate things I used to do manually, so now I'm redoing things, just much faster now. This was a hard bound book we made for 2006 (if you remember that this was the reason I started this blog over a year ago and published a few of the pics) and now I can publish the whole thing online. I also created a facebook page with a bunch of info also, but it all links back to here. Since I made this book, I've been working on 2007, 2008, and some of the older years, but it was so time consuming I was getting farther behind all the time, so now I think I will just keep publishing out here to get it going faster.

Classic Video posting - Light Saber Academy

This is an older video from 2004, but I wanted to post it online so it would be available for posterity for generations to come! I can't believe it's been 4 years since I made this already.
